To find the right person to learn from or identify who already has the skills you want to develop, you can use the search bar in your community.
How it works
-
Free text search:
-
Enter a term, such as “Leadership”, in the search bar. The search will return profiles of users who have that skill, which you can contact for learning, skill exchange, or collaboration on a project.
-
-
Filters and QuickFilters:
-
Click the filter icon to access detailed filters.
-
Activate the “Available only” toggle to see only users who are currently available for booking a session.
-
Additional filters help refine your search to find the most relevant members efficiently.
-
QuickFilters let you instantly filter results by key attributes without manually adjusting each filter.
-
-
Semantic and cross-language search (Beta):
-
In private beta, the search engine goes beyond exact matches. It finds text similarities and semantic similarities across all content in your community, including profiles, articles, and videos.
-
For example, a search for “Leadership” can also return:
-
Profiles with related skills or descriptions such as “management,” “guidance,” or “coaching.”
-
News, videos, or content published in other languages that are semantically related (e.g., Spanish content about leadership will appear even if your query is in English).
-
-
This advanced functionality will be rolled out to all Mentessa users once perfected.
-
By combining free text search, detailed filters, and QuickFilters, you can quickly find the right colleagues, content, or skill owners to support your learning and collaboration goals.
