Meet Charlotte Altmann: Mentessa’s New Impact Partner Driving Culture & Growth in Germany
Charlotte Altmann joins Mentessa as an official Impact Partner in Germany. With over 15 years of experience in B2B marketing and sales, she brings deep expertise in helping companies grow — both commercially and culturally. In this interview, Charlotte shares her perspective on the future of workplace mentoring, why she chose to collaborate with Mentessa, and the impact she hopes to create across the DACH market.
From B2B Sales Expert to Champion of Learning Culture
Tell us about your professional background. What has your career journey looked like?
I’ve spent over 15 years working across marketing and sales in B2B, mostly in tech-driven environments. For the past few years, I’ve been running my own advisory, supporting European B2B SaaS companies in entering and scaling in the DACH market. My work focuses on how companies actually win customers — from positioning and buying dynamics to go-to-market strategy.
Why Culture Is a Business-Critical Asset
What first sparked your interest in company culture?
Honestly, seeing how directly it impacts results. You can have a great product and a strong strategy, but if the culture doesn’t support collaboration, learning, and ownership, things slow down quickly. Especially in complex B2B environments, culture directly shapes how decisions are made and how teams perform.
What’s one powerful transformation you’ve witnessed through effective mentoring?
One of the most powerful shifts is when leaders move from “having to know everything” to creating space for others to contribute. Through mentorship programs, people gain clarity and confidence much faster — and that has a direct impact on how teams operate and make decisions.
The Biggest Challenges in Organizational Growth Today
What are the most common culture and growth challenges you see in organizations?
One big challenge is alignment. Many organizations scale quickly, but their culture and ways of working don’t evolve at the same pace. Another is balancing high performance with a healthy, sustainable work environment — especially in fast-moving tech companies at the growth stage.
Why Charlotte Chose to Partner with Mentessa
You recently became Mentessa’s Impact Partner in Germany — congratulations! What drew you to this opportunity?
What stood out to me is that Mentessa combines AI-powered technology with a very human approach to learning and development. It’s not just about content delivery — it’s about connecting people and enabling real exchange. That’s where meaningful growth actually happens.
How does Mentessa’s mission of empowering equal opportunities in the workplace resonate with you personally?
It resonates deeply. In my work, I regularly see how much potential goes untapped because people lack the right access, visibility, or support. Creating more equal opportunities isn’t just the right thing to do — it also makes organizations stronger and more effective.
What makes Mentessa unique in the mentoring and learning culture space?
I think it’s the combination of structured learning and peer-to-peer exchange. Many approaches focus on one or the other, but Mentessa brings both together in a practical way that makes learning more relevant and easier to apply in day-to-day work.
Impact in Germany: B2B Tech, Scale-ups & the DACH Market
Which types of organizations do you see benefiting most from Mentessa’s approach?
Especially organizations that are growing or going through change. When teams expand or structures shift, people need new ways to learn from each other and stay aligned. Mentessa is built for exactly that.
As Impact Partner in Germany, what impact do you hope to create locally?
I want to help organizations better navigate how business actually works in the DACH market — particularly around decision-making and how teams align in complex buying processes. I’m especially focused on B2B tech companies and scale-ups expanding into Germany, where building the right internal understanding and collaboration is critical for success.
What are you most looking forward to in this collaboration?
Bringing the platform into real business contexts and seeing how it supports people in their day-to-day work. I’m especially interested in how Mentessa can strengthen collaboration and decision-making across teams.
The Future of Learning and the Role of Impact Partners
How do you see the role of Impact Partners evolving as Mentessa expands across Europe?
Mentessa Impact Partners will play a key role in translating the platform into local contexts — connecting it to real industry needs and communities. That local perspective will be essential as Mentessa grows across European markets.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to leaders or HR professionals who want to build a culture of belonging and growth?
Create space for genuine, open exchange — not just top-down communication, but real opportunities for people to learn from each other. That’s where trust and lasting growth actually happen.
Finally — what excites you most about the future of learning?
What excites me most is that learning is becoming more integrated into everyday work. Especially in a European context, where companies expand across different markets, the ability to learn from each other and understand cultural differences becomes critical. That’s where learning has a real impact — not just on individual growth, but on how teams collaborate and succeed across borders.
