1. Tell us about yourself
I’m an introvert who’s learned to become more of an extrovert by learning to train my, “step out of your comfort zone” muscle. I’m passionate about coaching and mentoring people in order to help them to grow as a person.
Privately I love spending time in nature, as well as with family and friends. In nature, I love to go hiking, take walks, cycling, and if the weather allows skiing in winter.
To switch off from work & stress I love running, reading a good book, or gardening.
2. Who has been the most influential person in your career?
My wife. Why? She’s always supported me in my development and is not afraid to push me in new directions.
3. How did you get in contact with Mentessa?
As an extensive networker, I saw a Mentessa post from Tina. I felt inspired by her values and connected with her. And as it sometimes happens with networking, the connection request led to a phone call, and now our first webinar together.
4. Can you pinpoint the moment that helped you go from introvert to leader?
It’s not one moment, but an entire journey. I guess if you want to pinpoint the start, I would say it was the time when I took the leap forward to quit my first job and switch from the area of business to the area of expertise (from consulting to IT project lead).
5. Do you foresee more introverts becoming leaders in 2023?
From my perspective, it’s well known that diverse teams (culture, race, gender, age, mindset) lead to the best results. To become an even more inclusive society it’s fundamental for more introverts to become leaders. Thus, I’m hoping to spark some introverts to take the first step out of their comfort zone toward leadership.
